The Basque Railway Museum located in the old railway station of Urola in Azpeitia, has an exclusive railway exhibition that provides a unique journey through the history of railways in the Basque Country with a careful selection of old locomotives and objects worthy of study that will immerse the visitors in the passionate world of railways.
The museum offers the possibility of travelling on a steam train and relive the route of the old Urola train. During the season, the train plies on the traditional route between Azpeitia station where the museum is present and the neighbouring town of Lasao. It is a 5 kilometre trip amidst mountains in the middle of a landscape that showcases a green Gipuzkoa united with nature.
